So, who the hell am I and why should you care? That's a loaded question. The first part I can answer, to some degree. You can find out a lot about me on this site, but that's only a fraction of who I really am. I'm a national bestselling author, a poet, a dreamer, a realist, a shamanic Witch (but not Wiccan, I always tell people)--and I've been in the Craft since 1980, well over half my life. I'm Pagan and believe in the gods, and yet I'm a major proponent of science and technology. I'm a walking contradiction. I'm an ailurophile (I love cats), I'm a gurly gurl, happily married, a visionary, a bitch when I choose to be. I'm Type A, overdriven, hyperdriven, ambitious, heavily tattooed, creative, frantic at times, a caffeine junkie, an ex-sugar freak. I'm a media junkie--I love movies, music, books, TV. I'm a little bit warped. I collect teapots and books and crystalware, and crystals and antlers and skulls and daggers. As to the second part: why should you care? No reason in the world, unless you happen to read my books and want to know more about me, or unless you--for some reason, like I do--happen to find the human animal a fascinating, if scary, sort of beast. Anyway, I write urban fantasy, mystery, paranormal romance, and metaphysical nonfiction. I do most of my own website work, though my husband does the PHP coding and javascript stuff.
