There she made the grim discovery that she lacked the gene necessary to comprehend advanced calculus. Nonetheless, she graduated and spent the next seven years flying jets in the Air Force. An award-winning author whose books have been honored in the prestigious Rita contest as well as many others, Susan plans to hold onto her day job flying 747 jumbo jets for the airlines.
