Gingerbread is an erotic retelling of Hansel and Gretel. Hansel and Gretel’s mother doesn't want them around anymore. She is not really the mothering type. She decides that she needs to take them to another town and just leave them there to fend for themselves. The twins hear her telling their father what she is going to do and decide to figure out a way to find their way home. It takes them longer than they thought it would but they eventually find their way home. Their mother is furious that they came home. The next day they have breakfast with their parents. The twins start to feel dizzy and the next thing they remember is waking up in the middle of a stand of trees. This is the beginning of a harrowing experience for the twins who had only been away from home one other time.

To start I should say that this story has a good bit of sex, some that may not appeal to everyone. This is not your average fairy tale. It was very well put together and descriptive. I was drawn to the twins and their struggles. Everyone knows how the original story ends and they do live happily ever after with a twist. I enjoyed very much how well the story flowed and it didn't feel like a big stretch from the original. I was very impressed with Mr. Daemon’s storytelling capabilities.
